About Mia
Sewing Assistant
Mia is the newest addition to the DXN team! She came highly recommended by our own, Hannah Rettke, as they are classmates together at The University of Missouri. She majors in Textile and Apparel Management, Product Development and minors in French Language.
In addition to her studies at MU, Mia is a lab assistant for the TAM Department, responsible for assisting and overseeing her peers in the sewing lab. She is also a part of Marching Mizzou Color Guard, having performed with them for the past three years.
Mia is responsible for a plethora of tasks, including but not limited to: sewing bustles, preparing gowns for complex alterations, sewing samples for custom projects, and more!
Fun facts about Mia:
Started sewing with her grandma from a very young age, they would make pillows and blankets which is where her love of the craft began
Performed with the MU Color Guard at the Cotton Bowl, Macy’s Day Parade and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin
