About Nadine
Founder and Lead Designer
Kelley “Nadine” Kaufman is a fashion designer and seamstress previously based in Columbia, Missouri and now relocating her studio to Sarasota, Florida. Born and raised in Columbia, Nadine attended the University of Missouri and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Textile and Apparel Management, Product Development in 2018. Her keen eye for detail and her passion for cultivating a career in fashion led her to a variety of experiences that shaped the industry professional she is today.
As a couture level seamstress and formally educated designer, she specializes in bridal alterations and custom garment work, nourishing this passion daily within her business. She likes to say she is “obsessed” with her career and is known for her dedication to her craft, her clients, and the elevated level of precision she brings to every gown. After building a highly regarded studio and client base in Missouri, Nadine is excited to bring her expertise to the Gulf Coast as she expands Designs X Nadine to Sarasota beginning January 2026.
In addition, her custom design work continues to expand her artistic range. Nadine regularly takes on one of a kind fashion projects that allow her to explore new techniques, silhouettes, and textiles. The sky is the limit for her brand as she develops future runway concepts and prepares for upcoming bespoke collections that highlight her couture driven approach.
Outside of the studio, Nadine values time with her family, her two beloved cats, and the simple joy of recharging on the beach. These moments fuel her creativity and bring balance to her fast paced design life.
