Policies
To provide every client and garment with the time and attention they deserve, please review the following policies before booking or proceeding with alterations.
Payment & Refunds
Payment for alterations is due in full at the first fitting, unless otherwise arranged.
All alteration payments are final and non-refundable.
Payment reserves time within the Designs X Nadine production schedule and allows work to proceed on your garments.
Turnaround Times
Alteration timelines vary depending on the garment, complexity of the work, current workload, and event date.
During busy bridal and formalwear seasons, standard non-bridal and non-event-date alterations may require up to 6–8 weeks for completion.
Garments without a communicated event date or requested completion date will be scheduled according to the standard turnaround timeline and current production schedule.
If you need your garment by a specific date, please communicate that date at your first fitting.
Faster turnaround may be available when the schedule allows and is subject to an additional rush fee.
Acceptance of a garment does not guarantee an expedited completion date unless a specific timeline has been agreed upon.
Rush Alterations
Rush alterations may be available depending on the current workload and complexity of the garment.
Additional rush fees apply when work must be prioritized outside of the standard production schedule.
Please communicate any event dates, travel dates, or other firm deadlines before alterations begin so appropriate scheduling can be determined.
Fittings
Clients are responsible for bringing all shoes, undergarments, shapewear, and accessories that will affect the fit or length of the garment.
Changes to shoes, undergarments, posture, weight, or body measurements after the initial fitting may require additional alterations and additional fees.
Clients are expected to arrive on time. Late arrival may require the appointment to be rescheduled.
Changes & Additional Work
Alteration pricing is based on the work determined at the fitting.
Any changes requested after the initial fitting or additional work discovered during the alteration process may result in additional charges.
Significant design changes or additions beyond the originally agreed-upon alterations will be quoted separately.
Pickup & Final Fitting
Completed garments should be tried on and picked up at the client's scheduled pickup appointment whenever applicable.
Clients are responsible for inspecting and approving completed alterations at pickup.
Garments left more than 30 days beyond the scheduled pickup date may be considered abandoned and may be subject to disposal or liquidation, with payments forfeited.
Scheduling
Designs X Nadine makes every reasonable effort to honor scheduled appointments and estimated completion timelines.
Appointments may occasionally need to be adjusted due to unforeseen circumstances, including emergencies, severe weather, or circumstances outside of our control.
If a scheduling change is necessary, clients will be contacted as soon as reasonably possible.
Garment Care & Storage
Designs X Nadine takes reasonable care when handling and storing garments.
Garments left in the studio remain at the client's own risk.
Designs X Nadine is not responsible for loss, damage, or delays resulting from circumstances outside of our reasonable control, including severe weather, hurricanes, flooding, power outages, or other unforeseen events.
Severe Weather
In the event of a named storm, hurricane, or significant weather event, clients may be asked to retrieve their garments in advance when feasible.
If garments remain in the studio, reasonable precautions will be taken to protect them; however, protection from weather-related damage cannot be guaranteed.
Agreement to Policies
By booking an appointment, proceeding with alterations, leaving garments in the care of Designs X Nadine, and/or submitting payment, clients acknowledge and agree to the applicable Designs X Nadine policies.
Please communicate any firm event date, travel date, or required completion date at your first fitting so that we can confirm whether your requested timeline can be accommodated.
